Hartford Area Business Owners Turn to One Another for Support in Uncertain Economy
Hartford, CT, October 6, 2008 -- In today's economic downturn, small business owners are busy trying to brace for an unknown future. There is no doubt it’s one of the toughest times area businesses have faced in years—making each decision even tougher.
A local organization--The Alternative Board®--is expanding to increase its support of local businesses. Recently, Peter Begin, founder of TAB Greater Hartford, announced the addition of Steve Porcaro, founder and owner of 1-4 All Coaching, LLC, as a facilitator and coach. In addition to facilitating boards of business owners, Porcaro will lead the new Key Executive Board program focused on advice, training and support for key executives and managers.
The Alternative Board organizes peer advisory board meetings of owners, CEOs and presidents of privately owned companies. Meeting monthly, these advisory boards receive the benefit of the collective experience of the board. The meetings give them a chance to discuss business and personal issues with those who understand best—their peers.
Porcaro will provide guidance with his strong sales, leadership and coaching background to the 10 members that make up the board.
